It’s time for a genuine blog posting about what Expressions is doing. Since 2004 upon my high school graduation, I always knew web design was something I wanted to do. In my first year of college, I began free lancing to family and close friends. This was never a money maker and I was ok with that, because I truly loved designing. It was after my time at Iowa Central that I began expanding and broadening my horizons. I transferred to the University of Northern Iowa where I majored in Graphic Communications and was able to learn the print side of design. It was there that I discovered my love for print design. I was able to work at a company that published a magazine which I loved even more! I was fortunate enough to attend Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute and got to interact with peers who had the same dreams and aspirations as myself: owning your own business!

I began free lancing my services more and more. Video slideshows began very popular with family and friends. It has been in the past few years that I have broadened my client base but still working on growing more daily.

Now that you've read a little bit more on the behind the scenes of Expressions, you’ll realize that now 6 years later, my dream is becoming a reality. Expressions by Em is your one stop shop for web, graphic, print and multimedia design work.

After getting married in October of 2009, I realized just how much I love wedding specialty. Although not all brides are the same, I want to be able to give that bride her dream of the perfect wedding whether it is with the perfect monogram, invitation, save the date or program.

Technology is changing daily. VHS tapes were popular back in the day. DVDs then took over the revolution. Now we’re moving to Blue Ray? Why lose those special memories that you want to cherish forever that you recorded back on your old VHS camcorder? You don’t have to lose those special memories. Expressions by Em can take those old VHS tapes and put them in a digital format and convert to a DVD!
